Terms and Conditions

Last updated: Oct. 9, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of www.recallvbishop.org, participation in Committee to Recall Victoria Bishop volunteer activities and enrollment in our text-messaging program.

By using this website, submitting a form, registering for a volunteer activity or enrolling in text messages, you agree to these terms.

1. About the committee

This website is operated by the Committee to Recall Victoria Bishop, a Michigan political committee supporting the effort to place the recall question before Antrim County voters.

Committee to Recall Victoria Bishop
Email: info@recallvbishop.org
Phone: (231) 303-3797
Website: www.recallvbishop.org

2. Website purpose

The website provides information about the recall effort, petition-signing opportunities, volunteer activities, circulator training, campaign events, committee updates and ways to support the campaign.

We work to keep information accurate and current, but signing locations, times and volunteer needs may change because of weather, venue availability, legal requirements or other circumstances. Visitors should confirm current information at www.recallvbishop.org/wheretosign before traveling.

Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice.

3. Information you provide

You agree to provide accurate information when completing a volunteer, contact, donation or event form. You may not impersonate another person, register another person without permission or intentionally reserve volunteer shifts you do not intend to fulfill.

We may contact you to confirm your identity, volunteer registration or scheduled shift. The committee may cancel or reopen an unverified volunteer reservation.

4. Volunteer participation

Registering as a volunteer does not create an employment, agency or contractual relationship with the committee. Volunteers are expected to follow campaign instructions, petition-circulation rules, training requirements, safety practices and applicable laws.

Volunteer activities and schedules may be modified or canceled at the committee’s discretion.

5. Recall Victoria Bishop Volunteer Alerts

Individuals may voluntarily enroll in the Recall Victoria Bishop Volunteer Alerts text-messaging program.

Messages may include:

  • Volunteer opportunities and open shifts.

  • Petition-circulator training information.

  • Signature-gathering events and reminders.

  • Schedule, location or weather-related changes.

  • Requests for campaign assistance.

  • Campaign and petition-drive updates.

Messages may be sent using automated or manual technology. Message frequency varies and may increase during the active 60-day petition-circulation period. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of volunteering, signing a petition, attending an event or making a donation.

Opting out

Reply STOP to opt out at any time. We will send one final confirmation that your request was processed. After that confirmation, no additional messages will be sent through this program unless you enroll again.

We will also honor clear opt-out requests communicated through reasonable methods, including email or telephone.

6. Email communications

If you provide your email address, we may send volunteer information, campaign updates, event notices and other communications related to the recall effort. You may unsubscribe using the instructions in an email or by contacting us.

Unsubscribing from email does not automatically unsubscribe you from text messages, and opting out of texts does not automatically unsubscribe you from email. You may request removal from both lists at any time.

7. Contributions

Contributions made through this website may be processed by a third-party payment provider and are subject to applicable campaign-finance laws.

Contributions to political committees are generally not tax-deductible. The committee may request information required for campaign-finance reporting and may reject or refund a contribution when necessary to comply with applicable law.

8. Third-party services and links

The website may link to services operated by other organizations, including volunteer scheduling, group messaging, payment processing, social media and mapping platforms.

Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. The committee is not responsible for the availability, security or content of independently operated services.

9. Acceptable use

You may not use this website or its forms to:

  • Submit false, fraudulent or misleading information.

  • Disrupt campaign operations or volunteer scheduling.

  • Attempt to access information or systems without authorization.

  • Upload malicious code or interfere with website security.

  • Harass, threaten or impersonate volunteers, committee members or other individuals.

  • Use committee materials in a deceptive manner or falsely claim to speak for the committee.

10. Campaign materials

Unless otherwise indicated, the committee owns or is authorized to use the text, graphics, logos and campaign materials appearing on this website.

You may share official public campaign materials for noncommercial purposes, provided they are not materially altered or used to misrepresent the committee’s position.

11. Disclaimer

The website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, the committee disclaims warranties concerning uninterrupted access, error-free operation or the completeness of third-party information.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the committee and its volunteers, officers and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages resulting from your use of the website or a third-party service.
